Blitz is Big Bang Comics' homage to Flash.
Earth A
Jimmy Travis was a lady man-race car driver. One day, he was pushed off road by a fellow racer, Helmut Schletman. He discover an abandoned former-Nazi lab containing a suit label "Ubermensch" and a chemical labeled "Blitz-Geschidigkeit". Gamblers from the race caught up with Jimmy and tried to shoot him. He managed to dodge them, but spilled the chemical on himself in the process. This caused his suit to melt away, however he was unaffected. He then put on the "Unbermensch-suit", before managing to defeat the Gambler with super speed. He figured he got his speed superpower from the chemical and the label meant "Lightning-Speed". He then used his super speed to wreck Helmut's car and win the race. He called himself "Blitz" because the car was called "Der Blitz". Later got a sidekick named Cyclone and became a founding member of the Round Table of America. He died in an explosion in the 1980s.[1]
Earth B
Mack Snelling was reporter going to Europe in WW II, but he was kidnapped by Nazis. He was the victim to terrible experiments. However, one of these experiments ironically gave him super speed, which he used his power to escape. Donning a green and yellow suit with red googles, Mack became an anti-Nazi superhero. To mock them, he took the German word for lightning. He became a founding member of the Knights of Justice. When he gave his fiance a much-needed blood transfusion, she gained his powers and became the heroine "Speed Queen".[2]
